Definitely Maybe is a love story. That much was clear from the trailer. What was not clear was who it was a love story about. Clearly the main relationship in the story is between father and daughter played by Ryan Reynolds and Abigail Breslin. Reynolds plays a single dad who is asked by his daughter to explain how he and his soon to be ex wife originally met by his precocious daughter (Breslin). “Its complicated”. It is complicated, which is one of the reasons I enjoyed this movie. A movie from hollywood that actually keeps me guessing needs to be treasured. When that movie is also sweet and well acted it is a true joy. I found this to be such a movie.
